FLYING ANGELS CLASSIS

The Blue Devils Tore up the track this past weekend leading to some huge performances, big Personal Bests and a lot of fun! We had all different age classes competing and it was a lot of fun.  Relays and indivual events were fantastic!

The Blue Devils placed 3rd overall as a Team Title and our own James Wilson won top Tyke boy division for his performances in 6 events.

The Mite Girls put on a great showing

Rebecca Warcholak placed 2nd in the 60m with a time of 10.57,

Avery Clarke placed 4th in 60m with a time if 10.88, 3rd in the 400m with a time of 1:30.18, and 1st in the 200m with a time of 38.56
Clare Botha palced 5th in the 60 with a time of 11.22, and 3rd in the 200m with a time of 40.20

Tyke Boys 

James Wilson had some great performances in his 6 events of the day.  During the 60m he placed 3rd in running a time of 9.41, 1st in the High Jump got a height of 1.12m, 2nd in the long jump with a distance of 3.52m
Isaac LaFlamme missed the finals by one spot placing 9th with a time of 10.57
Jake Jacques placed 12 in the 60m with a time of 11.20, placed 7th in the 400m with a time of 1:27.45 and 200m  placing  12th with a time of 38.35
Ethan Rowe ran the 200m placing placing 9th with a time of 36.07
Trifon Trifonidis won the 400m with a personal best time of 1:15.98

Tyke Boys 4x200m ended the day at the top with a win in the event.  The team was Issac, Jake, Ethan, and James.  

Tyke Girls rocked out

Kathleen Botha led from the gun in the 400m winning with a time of 1:15.80 and 3rd in the 200m with a time of 33.86.
Caleigh Pribaz stayed in the mix for a 3rd place finish in the 400m running a huge personal best of 1:16.53
Lexy Rivard  had a great race in the 400m 6th with a time of 1:18.47


 The tyke girls had a great showing in the Sprint Medley (400-200-200-800) led by Kathleen, Caleigh, Avery and Lexy.  Avery moved up an age class to compete in this event and helped the girls win the event.

Atom Girls

Livia Collinson was our Solo Atom girl and had huge success in teh 1500m running a time of 5:41.08 placing 6th.

Atom Boyss did a fanstastic job showing leadership for the team.

Tristin Rowe came up huge in the 1500m running increadibly smart race.  Tristin stayed in control of HIS race and slowing inched his way to the front winning.  He ran a huge personal best posting a time of 5:02.63. Tristin also ran the 200m with a time of 30.29 placing 5th
Connor Pribaz ran the 400m placing 4th in the 200m with a time of 1:12
Malcolm Warcholak had a great performance in the 800m placing 7th with a big personal best time of 2:45.6, and 3rd in the triple jump with a distance of 7.62m

Atom Boys Sprint Medley Relay (400-200-200-800) led by Tristin, Trifon, Connor, and Liam R tore up the track smashing the field and winning the relay!

Coaches getting after it

Coach Julia Kitevski who many got to catch up with at Christmas, rocked out again last weekend in the 3000m placing 11th with a time of 10:20.43. Julia's currently attending University at Middle Tennessee where she competes in the NCAA. Great performance!

BLUE DEVILS OPENER

Great performances by the Blue Devils in their season opener for the Indoor Track and Field Season. Teams from around southern Ontario came to compete and turned this meet into a huge success.  The age categories started at Atoms (2002) so a few of our athletes moved up in their age group to compete for the day.

Lucas Krome started the day off with the 50m dash qualifier running fast enough to advance to the finals.  He posted a time of  8.20 sec and placing 5th.  He came back later in the day and ran a 150m rocking out.

Jake Jacques was one of our Devils moving up in his age category running the 50m dash and qualifying for the finals as well.  Jake posted a time of 8.97 placing 7th.  Jake also ran the 300m just minutes after the 50m finals placing 12th and running a time of 1:00.14.

Livia Collinson had a huge run in the 1 km placing 4th overall with a time of 3:39.64.

Connor Pribaz and Malcolm Warcholak 8th and 12th in the Atom Boys 1 km race.  Malcolm set the pace early for the group and helped everyone to a fast time.  Connor ran a 3:31.37 and Malcolm a 3:39.86.  Great job boys.

Benet Avery had her first debut race in the MTA in the Senior Girls 1km placing 5th with a time of 3:25.42.  Benet came back later on in the 300m placing 7th with a time of 48.10

Liam White came up huge in the Atom boys 300m where he placed 2nd with a time of 49.45.

Trifon Trifonidis moved up his age group for the day in the Atom Boys 300m, where he blazed a 53.85 placing him 8th.

Finally Katie Stephens made a late appearance after her Ski racing was cancelled. She stepped up and ran the Senior Girls 300m last minute and posted a solid 56.43


Coach Ben Devito also competed yesterday in the Open Boys 1km where he placed 2nd with a time of 2:37!!!!!  Great Job Ben

Great Job Devils.  The next meet is Saturday January 26th at York University.
