Ashbridges Results

With the chaos and uncertainty with the TDSB cross country series, the Devils trained on in anticipation for their chance to shine. Everyone was ready both mentally and physically for a big showing in the qualification round.  When the day came, our team was split with school allowed to compete and unfortunately schools not allowed to compete. Of the Devils that were allowed to compete we had some incredible performances across the board.  Top 10 finishers are moving on to the City Finals. 

Grade 2 girls: Avery 7^th, Greer 16^th, Clare 18^th, Katie 25th

Grade 4 girls: Zoriana 7^th, Erin 2^nd, 5^th,  Issabella 42nd

Grade 4 boys: Trifon 11^th, and Ethan 15^th

Grade 5 girls: Livia 2^nd, Emily

Grade 5 boys: Kyle 3^rd, James 90^th

Grade 6 girls: Sarah 27th

Grade 6 boys rocked out with Liam Rivard 1^st, and Tristin 3^rd

Grade 7 boys: Will Stewart 5^th, and William 16^th

Grade 8 Boys: Jackson Taylor 9th

GREAT JOB DEVILS!!!!!!

We’re proud to say our Blue Devils showed exemplary sportsmanship whether competing or not competing. And there is hopes of another qualification round for athletes who weren’t able to run in this race.  Our Devils next confirmed race is October 13^th where they we head to Etobicoke.  We’re hoping to have the full team out and continue our domination with personal bests, top performances, team titles and team spirit.

ROCK OUT BUD!!!

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?!?!

I'm still in awe of what just happened today for the Blue Devils in Burlington.  Every athlete gave their all for fantastic performances.  The Devils cleaned up in every field we competed in.

The day started off with the Mite girls 1km race with:

1st Overall Mite Girls

Rebecca finishing 2nd, Greer 9th, Avery 12th, Katie 14th, and Clare 16th

The Tyke girls fed off those results and matched it in the 1500m with these performances:

1st Overall Tyke Girls

Livia 4th, Kathleen 7th, Erin 13th and Emily 30th

The Tyke boys set a huge statement in the 1500m with their performances:

1st Overall Tyke Boys

Mac 2nd, Malcolm 3rd, Kyle 4th, Ethan 13th, and Declan 21st, 

And Finally our Atoms took the end of the day in a 2km showing how they do it with:

2nd Overall Atom Boys

Liam Rivard 5th, Liam White 11th, Tristin 15th, Lucas 23

And our Atom girls did a fantastic job with Eva finishing 29th and Sarah finishing 41st.  Who knows what would have happened if they have had a team!!

Time trials show progress and could be a good determiner of what to expect, but a race...there's nothing like it and who could have expected these fantastic results.  Hang your heads high and go into Ashbridges Bay knowing you're in shape and ready to race!!!
