To continue the success of our indoor program, The Blue Devils will be moving forward with Track and Field training in the spring to get the team ready to rock-out for outdoor competitions.  With after school programs in many schools still not happening, what a better way to keep the kids active and excelling at a sport that is a vital part of everything else they do!  Our focus, as always, is to provide them with the fundamentals of track and field and to give the kids the best opportunities to succeed.  Workouts will stay tough but they will always walk away smiling!!!  There will be 7 racing opportunities in the Minor Track Association in May and June so plenty of chances to race!!!!
We have decided to continue with the original 10 week program (April 22nd –June27th) of 3 days a week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm to 6pm at Birchmount Stadium. This is offered to athletes grade 2-grade 8.  We have a variety of program options to allow you to customize your athlete's participation with their own schedule.  As always, extra/bonus days will be added if extra training is needed.  Our full package is just $10/session with a BONUS 1 WEEK FREE. We also have family packages and discount incentives to bring a friend.  To maximize their potential, we really want to push to see them a minimum of 2 days a week, but we still welcome you to customize participation as it fits your schedule.
If you want to continue through the summer to peak for the MTA track and field championships we’re offering a limited time special add on offer.  Please let us know by May 30th if your athlete would like to continue through the summer to receive this price.  There will be an additional 4 racing opportunities (including the MTA Outdoor Track Championships) in July.  This will be an additional $75 for the summer (~$6 a class).

**NEW  IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON RACING FOR THE BLUE DEVILS IN COMPETITION                                                                                                                                                             Athletes interested in racing any of the MTA meets please include $50 deposit.  This will go towards your race entries.  Instead of tracking you down for each meet, we’ll deduct the cost of the entry from the money.  When it reaches $0 we’ll restock it.  At the end of the season, if there is money still there for your child you’ll get it back.
As always, Beaches Blue Devils pushes for excellence.  Our coaches are still actively involved in the track and field world. The coaches compete both Nationally and Internationally.  Ben Devito will be acting as head coach for the spring program.  Ben’s an OFSAA medalist who is looking for big things this upcoming season in the 1500m and 3000m.  Tari Mabu and Ally Christiani will be assistant coaches to the program.  Tari an 800 and 1500m specialist is looking to best his performances in his senior year at school.  Ally Christiani, our newest coach is a 200m, 400m and 400m Hurdler who has just signed a full scholarship for Illinois State University in the NCAA.  She’s coming off her 1st place finish in the Canadian Junior Championships 400m.  The coaches have done a spectacular job, and we are lucky to have them apart of the team. Finally, Kyle Smith, a 2x Canadian silver medalist and 4x800m Canadian record holder, will be acting as administrator, helping with meet entries, questions/comments, and designing the workouts for proper periodizing/peaking of the athlete fitness. When Kyle returns from a National Team training camp in early May, he will be present at many of the Blue Devils training sessions.
