Huge race results this past weekend as some of the Blue Devils opened up their season in Burlington at the Gord Rusby Track meet.
Lexy Rivard had a great day winning the 800m gaping the field running a 3:02.11. She also competed in the 100m placing 10th overall running a 16.04
Martina Ianakieva placing 4th in the 100m with a blazing time of 15:52. She also had a great performance in the Long Jump placing 8th with a jump of 3.17m
James Wilson had another huge day placing 2nd in the 100m with a personal best performance of 15.12, 2nd in the 200m with a personal best of 31.93, 1st in the high jump with a height of 1.10m, and 2nd in the Long Jump with a distance of 3.63m.
Trifon Trifonidis had a great day trying some new events. Trifon continued his undefeated season in the 400m with a new personal best of 1:11.89, 3rd in the 200m with a time of 32.20, and 1st in the 800m with a time of 2:49.45.
Awesome job athletes. Up next is the Hershey's Qualifier where the Blue Devils try and qualify for the Hershey Provincials!!
